This is what I will be sharing about my testimony on how I am inspired to go on this mission . I will be sharing this with Salt and Light Spanish Church on March 11^th.

First of all, I need to give credit to Zac Poonen because I was totally inspired by his commentary. I want to encourage you to stop right now and read
Genesis 22:1-19.

Ok, so my name is Krista and I am a missionary- a bondslave of God. My mission field is Mexico, I have had such a strong call for those people. I am going on this trip because I want to give my life in WORSHIP to God. I want to give up my "comfortable" life to reach a lost world with the saving message of Christ crucified. - I want to despise my life and give it up that some might be saved! And in this way- I want to worship with my life.

By Abrahams example I see that truly worshiping God means to be emptied of everything in you- not relying on yourself, but only living for God. In Christ, we are Abrahams children, and we are blessed- but we are more then that, we are called to bless others ;to lay down our lives, and that which is dear to us, and serve God.

In Abraham’s life I see real worship, he was willing to offer up his most prized possession to honor God. In Genesis 22 we see the word WORSHIP mentioned for the first time, and in this context when Abraham is speaking of worship , he was speaking of giving up what he held most dear. In verse 5 he says
"me and the lad are going up tp worship." This he said on the way up the mountain to sacrifice his son! What an amazing faith he had- what a way to worship God!

In John 8:56 Jesus says "
Abraham rejoiced to see my day and he saw it and was glad." As Abraham stood there in obedience , ready to offer his dearly loved son , I think he had a glimpse of the cross-That God Almighty would give His Own Son a Sacrifice for this world. I think Abraham felt a bit of the great price it would cost God to save this sinful world. And I see in Abraham’s obedience true WORSHIP and because of this he was intimate with God. This is real Worship.

God paid such a high price, the precious blood of His only Son, to offer away to be reconciled to God. So this is why I am a missionary- I have great reason to worship God- Let’s all die to ourselves and make that decision to worship God! Go out and reach this world for Christ!

This world is quickly perishing and God calls us to go to all the nations and make disciples! May you answer that call and may I answer that call! If I don’t go and if you don’t go -God will use someone else. Let’s not miss the privilege of being used by God!

My prayer for you and myself is that we will know how to WORSHIP God - TRULY WORSHIP God- with all we are!
