This is a commentary I wrote after reading this beautiful psalm I wrote it verse by verse pertaining to my testimony so read the Psalm first then my testimony... I pray it's a blessing!40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord;

he inclined to me and heard my cry.

2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction,

out of the miry bog,

and set my feet upon a rock,

making my steps secure.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,

a song of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear,

and put their trust in the Lord.

4 Blessed is the man who makes

the Lord his trust,

who does not turn to the proud,

to those who go astray after a lie!

5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God,

your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;

none can compare with you!

I will proclaim and tell of them,

yet they are more than can be told.

6 Sacrifice and offering you have not desired,

but you have given me an open ear.

Burnt offering and sin offering

you have not required.

7 Then I said, Behold, I have come;

in the scroll of the book it is written of me:

8 I desire to do your will, O my God;

your law is within my heart.

9 I have told the glad news of deliverance

in the great congregation;

behold, I have not restrained my lips,

as you know, O Lord.

10 I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart;

I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation;

I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness

from the great congregation.

11 As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain

your mercy from me;

your steadfast love and your faithfulness will

ever preserve me!

12 For evils have encompassed me

beyond number;

my iniquities have overtaken me,

and I cannot see;

they are more than the hairs of my head;

my heart fails me.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me!

O Lord, make haste to help me!

14 Let those be put to shame and disappointed altogether

who seek to snatch away my life;

let those be turned back and brought to dishonor

who desire my hurt!

15 Let those be appalled because of their shame

who say to me, Aha, Aha!

16 But may all who seek you

rejoice and be glad in you;

may those who love your salvation

say continually, Great is the Lord!

17 As for me, I am poor and needy,

but the Lord takes thought for me.

You are my help and my deliverer;

do not delay, O my God!             
                

ok so there is the psalm.... beautiful isn't it??  well here is my verse by verse commentery pertaining to my personal testimony....             

         
vs.1 I was miserable and despairing with my old life style-I thought I would die, was hopeless and all alone! Then i desperetly called to the LORD with almost no faith.                                   vs2. He heard me - quickly delivered me, gave me strength, a hope and a purpose. When I thought I couldn't live - he set me upon a firm foundation!                                        vs3. He turned my despair to joy and thanksgiving. I can only pray my testimony will change lives to believe in him!                                                 vs4 The LORD has blessed me soo much since trusting in him , and always blesses me when I do the right and just thing.                        vs5.He has done so much for me,delivered me from drugs, alcohol, smoking , a bad relationship, depression, despair, he helped me lose alot of weight, he takes care of me, gives me joy, peace, hope , a purpose. Has blessed my family relationships. He has taken care of my
every need! He has given me a true purpose, a wonderful church, eternal life! Mercy, grace, freedom - I can't even begin to say what he's done for me- more then I know! His holy word gives such hopeand reveals his glorious promises!           vs6 He loves me for me- has forgiven me-  by his sacrifice- he has opened the eyes and ears of my heart to his spiritual wisdom!                       vs7 His word applys and speaks personally to my heart!                             vs8 I love him! He has transformed me- my wantsand desires  to his,it's  glorious!  He has written his  word on my heart! Given me beautiful knowledge of him!                              vs9 I praise him openely with joy in church. I declare his blessings! He fills me with such joy- I overflow!                       vs10  I haven't kept it secret- it's too amazing and wondeful- I've  shared how he's changed my life and delivered me!                 vs11 He continually has compassion on me! His grace preserves me, his truth keeps me alive!!   vs12 Troubles of life so often surround me. So often I fall into sin, and stop seeking his presence the way I should. My heart is deceitful and tricky!       vs13 I pray out to the LORD to deliver me -he hurries to do so- he loves me and protects me 
always   !                vs14 He triumphs over satan and will not let him harm me! He who is in me is greater then he who is in the world!       vs15  He will not let my enemy triumph over me  if I seek his will earnestly.                       vs16 Anyone who seeks him will find him and be filled with joy and thanksgiving and truth, life , and freedom ! We can not help but shout for his name to be magnified!                     vs17 I am needy, I live in a fallen world. I am so quick to lose my way- without him I can literally do nothing- but he is mindful that I am but dust - He is sovereign , and all knowing and in his mercy , he will always be my help , my deliverer, and my salvation! He will not delay . He is always with me and he will never leave me nor forsake me
